General information

SMOK G-PRIV POD kit is a medium-sized pod-mod, equipped with a powerful built-in battery, designed for the use of replaceable evaporators of the LP2 and RPM2 series. The design of the new device is quite angular, but it does not make the device inconvenient to use. The chipset is a fairly standard IQ-S, allowing the use of a sub-mod in variwatt mode. Initially, the device is equipped with a cartridge for the new LP2 series evaporators, but if you wish, you can buy an additional cartridge for using the already known RPM2. G-PRIV POD Device Battery Pack

One can only envy the productivity and activity of the Smok company; it releases new devices almost every week. Moreover, the devices in most cases are quite interesting, convenient and practical. Often, company developers decide to slightly modify existing devices, releasing them under a new name. This is exactly the situation that happened with the SMOK G-PRIV POD kit, which, if you look at it, is the SMOK G-PRIV box mod adapted to the sub-mod format.

The SMOK G-PRIV POD kit looks quite angular and at the same time very stylish, but this does not prevent it from having fairly good ergonomics; the device fits well in the hand due to its medium size. The size of the pod-mod is 123.5 * 34 * 27 mm, and the weight is 115 grams, so it will not interfere much in your pocket or purse. The body is made of zinc alloy and plastic with carbon and eco-leather inserts.

The maximum power of 80 watts in the device is provided by a built-in battery with a capacity of 2500, which is not so bad, since autonomy is guaranteed for one or two days. The battery is charged using the USB Type-C connector located on the bottom end of the device, with a current of 1.4A.

The SMOK G-PRIV POD kit is powered by the IQ-S chipset, already familiar to many vapers, thanks to which the power of the sub-mod is 5-80 Watts, and the minimum resistance that the board raises is 0.15 Ohms. Interestingly, the fire button on the device occupies the entire side surface, making pressing it soft and comfortable.

The device is equipped with a 0.96-inch diagonal color display, and on it the vaper can find a standard set of information about the operation of the device: battery charge level, power, coil resistance, voltage, number and time of puffs.

G-PRIV POD LP2 Pod Cartridge

A new G-PRIV POD LP2 Pod cartridge was developed especially for the SMOK G-PRIV POD kit, which uses the corresponding evaporators, but if you wish, you can additionally buy a G-PRIV POD RPM2 Pod cartridge for the RPM2 evaporators already familiar to vapers. The drip tip is non-removable.

The LP2 series evaporators are new, but during their development the design features of the cartridge were taken into account. At the moment, there are three types of such evaporators – LP2 Meshed 0.23ohm DL Coil, LP2 Meshed 0.4ohm Coil and LP2 DC 0.6ohm Coil (the first two types are included in the kit), so there will be no problems with taste transfer.

The SMOK G-PRIV POD kit provides airflow adjustment, which is implemented using a small slider that allows you to set one of three options MTL, RDL and DL.

Quite interestingly, the developers made a refueling system. In order to refill the cartridge, you just need to slide the top cover straight, insert the spout into the valve (child lock) and fill in 5.5 ml of liquid.

Conclusions and impressions

It cannot be said that the SMOK G-PRIV POD kit is a revolutionary device, but the company’s specialists clearly took into account the claims and comments of vapers regarding previous devices. A vaper who decides to buy a SMOK G-PRIV POD kit will receive an autonomous, universal device, which will be an excellent option for both a novice vaper and an experienced aromatic vapor lover.
