Today’s review is dedicated to two more interesting devices that make up the GEN NANO Kit from the well-known company Vaporesso: the little GEN NANO Mod with a built-in battery and the GTX Tank 22 on new evaporators.

As always, if you purchase a kit, it will be self-sufficient, you just need to screw the tank onto the mod (they are not connected inside the package), fill the liquid and you can immediately start using it, even the battery is already charged. There is nothing special to note in the kit: a short cable with a rigid braid and the inscription Quick Charge, and a spare evaporator in a blister, and a replaceable flask with replaceable o-rings, and the usual set of various cards, warnings and instructions we have repeatedly seen in devices of the Chinese manufacturer. The only thing that needs to be mentioned is the 3.5 ml glass installed in the tank, which is not available for the European market, instead there will be 2 ml.

Vaporesso GEN NANO in handIf you look at the device in the photos as a “spherical horse in a vacuum”, i.e. without comparing it with other objects, then you will find practically no differences from the good old GEN, but you can probably only understand that this is actually a tiny baby by the discrepancy in the sizes of the “pot-bellied” atomizer and battery block. Although our kit has some similarities with the recently reviewed GTX ONE (atomizer on the same evaporators and built-in battery in the battery block), it is addressed to a different audience, or to be more precise – lovers of hookah puffs. However, as in the case of the previous kit, here each component can also be used separately thanks to the 510 connector. And, unlike the GTX ONE Mod, the GEN NANO can be called more universal, as it can be used with both high-resistance cigarette atomizers and sub-ohm tanks and even drippers. I did not find this information on the box, it is hidden somewhere deep in the wilds of the manual: the resistance supported by the board starts from 0.03 Ohm in Super Player Mode.

In addition to the beautiful purple kit presented in this review, the manufacturer offers us five more to choose from: black, silver, red, blue and green almost the color of patina. The most remarkable thing (or not, it’s just a matter of taste) is that the complete atomizers have the same coating and the same colors as the battery blocks, Vaporesso did not limit itself to only black and steel, as was the case with the first GEN.

Impressions and conclusions

The device is, without exaggeration, simply wonderful, and we are talking about both the GTX TANK 22 tank and the mod. With the tank, everything is more or less clear, we have a simple and nice sub-ohm atomizer with excellent flavor transfer for the new GTX Coil evaporators on the mesh (mainly) and with the ability to use even a serviceable GTX RBA base, if you decide to buy it for $ 8.90. The device will suit both those who have no idea how to wind a coil themselves, and those who are simply lazy, but ready to spend money on consumables. The tank volume of 3.5 ml with a pot-bellied glass cannot be called a record, and even more so with a straight 2 ml, but the complete box mod is small, screwing something like Aromamizer Plus 30 mm onto it is not an idea, so the GTX TANK 22 looks appropriate in the kit, and is quite suitable for the built-in battery of the GEN NANO Mod.

There is nothing negative to say about the box mod either, it is an alternative option or a replacement for SWAG 2 or GTX ONE Mod. It is quite comparable with the first in functionality and dimensions, the second is simpler in the number of settings, limited to only 40 W and addressed to lovers of cigarette puffs, and therefore comes with a corresponding atomizer. Both devices are assembled impeccably, I have no complaints about the quality of workmanship and coating, or about the operation of the tank and mod, for a week of use, the GEN NANO kit only pleased me. And the expectedly small capacity of the built-in battery was disappointing, if you vape often at low resistance, the battery discharges quite quickly. But at the same time it charges very briskly. However, miracles do not happen, it is simply unrealistic to squeeze a huge power element into such a tiny thing, a device with 2000 mAh is perfect for those who are not keen on “steam locomotive” on a sub-ohm or use mainly high-resistance windings. Evaporators with a resistance of 1.2 Ohm are also great for the GTX TANK 22, you can easily replace the drip tip with a more suitable one. Or just put your favorite MTL tank, with it the battery will last much longer.
