Packaging TOPOL X5000

Upon closer inspection, a certain precise and harmonious asymmetry catches your eye: the mouthpiece is shifted close to one edge of the black matte case, the side stickers are located closer to the same side, the depression on the opposite side shows the air intake shaft and the device’s power-on indicator is located at an offset.

The appearance, in the end, turns out to be nice, but not flashy, at the same time strict and slightly technological. The filling of the device is quite ordinary for a disposable device: a battery, an evaporator with a tank filled with liquid, a control board that can turn on the X5000 during a puff and charge from the USB Type-C port.

There is no need to turn TOPOL X5000 on or off at all; it is always in standby mode. However, I would like to draw your attention to the original hidden LED. It is located behind a tiny insert with the model name and will glow both during tightening and while charging. I’ll immediately tell you about the inscriptions on the case: TOPOL and the name of the flavor on the linings do not need to be explained, but HOWDY (informal “hello” in literal translation) most likely was the name of this model before its Russian localization.

Setting the tightening force

At the bottom end you can find a USB Type-C charging port, the Made in China inscription, several mandatory icons and a wheel for adjusting the puff intensity. The regulator turns only a quarter of a turn and provides a fairly convenient and smooth change in tightening force. Ranging from the complete inability to take a breath in the closed position to a pleasantly loose puff in the open position.

Charging process

The charging current for a disposable charger is about 1 Ampere. Naturally, you can see such numbers only when the battery is completely discharged, and as you fill it with energy, the current strength will gradually decrease. In any case, count on one hour to charge the device. Especially considering the fact that you won’t be able to hover during this process – the pastru function is not provided.

Testing and tastes of TOPOL X5000

Inside each disposable device there is a battery containing a reactive alkali metal – lithium. Such batteries should not be thrown away with household waste, but should be taken for recycling or special disposal.

TOPOL X5000 – GUMMY BEAR

The aroma of the vapor is much more concentrated and bright than that of real jelly sweets. It is rich and sweet-sour, with an emphasis not so much on the jelly itself, but on the apple. The taste on the inhale is soft and almost neutral, you can feel sweetness and a slight chill, there is a hint of starch topping, but so far nothing more. A deep breath smoothly and unstoppably lifts the taste sensations into the clouds. Bright and powerful taste of a slightly sour candy with decent sweetness and the obligatory feeling of elastic marmalade. On the exhale, a rich sparkling note appears, partly sharp and tart in the aftertaste. The result: an expressive and powerful taste of jelly candy that you will never get in reality, but which you have always dreamed of. 

TOPOL X5000 – ENERGY DRINK

The smell is pleasant, similar to the original, even cool when first introduced. The berry part is felt as well as the lemonade part. The taste on the inhale is thick and sweet, quite rich and dense. A deep breath will delight you with a moderate chill and give even more emphasis to the taste of guarana. During exhalation, the sensations of fruit come first, little grapes, a little apple, a drop of coffee and dense energy drinks at the base. The finish is long and juicy, barely dry due to the great overall sweetness and invigoratingly cold in the remainder. Bottom line: tasty, pleasant, but in some places overly rich, which is typical for disposable dishes.

TOPOL X5000 – STRAWBERRY ICE

The aroma of this one-time use made me doubt my own feelings. The first impression, before inhaling, was reminiscent of the smell from a small bush, in which there are five leaves and a solitary berry, which is almost invisible. However, upon exhalation, the smell opened up into a dense and rich berry tone, barely reminiscent of jam, thanks to the sour tones preserving the freshness of living berries. The taste sensations were immediately precise and unshakable – a bright sweet and sour berry on the inhale, a small and adequate chill during a deep puff, followed by the taste of a thick strawberry topping on top of an equally pink strawberry ice cream. And even though there is nothing left in the aftertaste of the milky tones, the berry part is felt simply wonderful. Bottom line: this is the rare case when I am glad of the high sweetness; for the strawberry flavor it is justified and adds a positive feeling while vaping. But there could have been chiller.

TOPOL X5000. Personal impressions

With each new TOPOL line, I increasingly like the approach of manufacturers and importers to the selection of products presented. I want to praise more and more, and scold less and less. In the TOPOL X5000 models, it seems to me, there are generally only advantages in the form of a nice design, excellent capacity of both the battery and the supplied liquid. Yes, you can scold a little for the lack of a paste or a hole for a lanyard, but these are such trifles, especially against the backdrop of a convenient and clear mechanism for adjusting the tightening force.

The tastes are also very, very good. Obvious favorites: SPICY SALTY MANGO – no competition, KVASS – although sweet, but tasty and interesting. Right behind them are: GUMMY BEAR, KIWI PASSION FRUIT GUAVA and BLUEBERRY RASPBERRY. The rest are just good, but the least impressive was the WATERMELON ICE.
