Review of Rincoe MANTO MAX 228W KIT

In this review, I will tell you about the universal in many ways podmod MANTO MAX 228W Kit from the Chinese manufacturer Rincoe.

The collection of devices under the name MANTO from Rincoe has reached its “apogee of apotheosis” and reached the culmination of versatility. See for yourself: BEAST RDA KIT, S 228W KIT, PRO 228W KIT, AIO 80W KIT, AIO XR 80W KIT, MINI 90W KIT, X MECH KIT and, as a cherry on the cake, the hero of today’s article – MANTO MAX 228W KIT. Moreover, MAX in this case is not a marketing ploy, but in fact an adequate description of the resulting device.

MANTO MAX 228W KIT, despite its maximum, is sold in a rather small cardboard box, mostly black with orange ring elements. canadian vape On the front side there is the manufacturer’s logo, name, main features in circles and a photo of the device in black. On the back side: delivery set, warnings, manufacturer’s address, authenticity verification code, barcodes and certificate icons. The current color of the device inside is not indicated anywhere, perhaps there should be a sticker on the front side, but it did not reach me. On the sides, except for certificate icons and social network icons, there is nothing interesting.

What’s in the box

The delivery set is not the smallest, but also far from the maximum possible: instructions, battery memo, quality certificate and warranty card. Useful: the mod itself with an installed cartridge and evaporator (0.3 Ohm mesh), a spare evaporator (double 0.2 Ohm mesh) and a charging cable (USB-microUSB).

Rincoe MANTO MAX 228W KIT. Design

I’ll say right away that the mod can be available in three different colors, two of which are adequately black, but the third… In general, it’s called Raindow and is two-color with a gradient, slightly parrot-like in appearance. In the photo, it even looks stylish in places, but in real life… I just want to take it and repaint it. If you don’t look at the top, the case design is typical for a dual-battery mod: small decorative protrusions on the sides of an almost triangular mod with one beveled corner, on which the screen is located, and two rounded ones. The display is hidden behind a dark plastic insert, the main Fire button looks like a small trigger, then there’s a double “+/-” button, and even lower is a micro USB connector for charging. Closer to the top, there are air intake holes on both sides, similar to gills without the slightest hint of the ability to adjust the airflow intensity, and even higher there is a plastic cartridge with a non-removable mouthpiece. The thing turned out to be weighty, but it fits in the hand quite well, definitely a plus for ergonomics.

The cartridge is inserted into the battery block and held inside by three pairs of magnets, two of which perform a more decorative function, but the third one fulfills its purpose 100%. The contact group in the depth of the mod looks quite modest, but in fact, more is not needed here, the main thing is that it is spring-loaded.

At the bottom there is a door to access the battery compartment with six holes for emergency gas removal, the name of the mod and a couple of mandatory icons.

In principle, there is no special system for fixing the lid and without batteries it holds frankly weakly, and after installing the batteries – quite confidently. Batteries of the 18650 format are inserted in different ways, for correct installation there are signs both on the lid itself and in the depth of the wells, around the spring-loaded contacts. Also closer to the curtain, you can see a balancing contact, which clearly indicates a sequential method of connecting the cans and their correct charging inside the mod. For greater safety, the batteries are additionally insulated from the metal case with plastic cups.

Rincoe MANTO MAX 228W KIT. Cartridge and evaporators

The cartridge in the MANTO MAX 228W KIT is made of slightly dark transparent plastic, has a tricky shape and a declared volume of 8 (eight, bro!) milliliters, which is almost unrealistic for any pods. However, it is physically impossible to change the drip tip or change the airflow intensity, which, coupled with the ability to install three different types of maintenance-free coils or an RBA base inside, significantly limits your vaping style.

Replaceable evaporators are represented by different coils with different numbers of vertical heaters on the mesh:

Manto MAX Single Mesh Coil 0.3 Ohm (recommended power: 50-70 W)

Manto MAX Dual Mesh Coil 0.2 Ohm (60-75 W)

Manto MAX Triple Mesh Coil 0.15 Ohm (80-100 W) (not included)

By tradition, they are only suitable for this mod and seem to be incompatible with nothing else. It is almost pointless to write about the taste – the non-serviceable mesh coil is traditionally strong in this and can compete with many classic windings (including RBA, which is also in this format, but not in this review) and is definitely superior to simple vertical non-serviceable coils.

Rincoe MANTO MAX 228W KIT. Personal impressions

What I liked:

Possibility of potential upgrade by purchasing additional cartridge replacements

Replaceable batteries

Huge cartridge volume

Three types of evaporators on the mesh

What is simply good

Temperature control

Fast board

Simple control

Reasonable price

What could be better

No RBA included

No possibility of adjusting the airflow

The charging connector is not Type-C

Total

In the basic configuration, the Rincoe MANTO MAX 228W Kit is almost nothing special, it is just a powerful mod without a 510 connector, but with a huge tank and simple but quite flexible customization options. But after purchasing all or at least some of the add-ons (very inexpensive, by the way), it turns into a device capable of satisfying almost any vaping desires, from beginners to advanced comrades (except MTL users, sorry guys, you’re definitely out of luck).
